We shot a 90 minute interview with the poet Allen Ginsberg at the Continental hotel in Oslo, 24 October 1993. The interview was transcribed and translated to Norwegian for publication in our underground paper Gateavisa - The Street Paper - but the video has never been screened. We have now decided to turn it into a 50 minute documentary, with additional new footage to be shot at the City Lights bookshop and other locations in San Francisco. Allen Ginsberg was born June 3, 1926 and died April 5, 1997. The 2010 film Howl directed by Rob Epstein Howl explores the life and works of Ginsberg. The film stars James Franco as Ginsberg. Audun Engh and Ulrik Hegnar, 16 April 2011. Allen Ginsberg on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_Ginsberg The film Howl: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howl_%282010_film%29
